Summary
Energy Digital Commerce has simplified the purchasing experience for fuel buyers
New + Improved
Simplified purchase experience for Buyers
As a fuel buyer, you will notice a simplified purchasing experience. The process has been streamlined to reduce the number of steps required to place an order. The user interface has also been simplified to show only the information that is relevant to making a buying decision and placing an order.
Updated landing page for Buyers
As a fuel buyer, please note that the landing page has been updated. When you log into Energy Digital Commerce, you will now be directed to the All Prices page.
Automatic offers refresh in basket
As a buyer, you will notice that once the refresh timer in the basket expires, the offers will automatically be refreshed without clearing your selections. If the prices in the basket change, the price will change colour and an arrow will indicate the direction of the change. If an offer is no longer available, a banner will be displayed asking you to go back to the Offers table to check for available offers.
Sellers can select which products are displayed within offers
As a seller, you can select which products within a product group are displayed on the All Prices page to your customers. This will simplify the customer buying experience as much as possible. By default, all products will be displayed.
All products that are available in the offer will still be displayed in the basket to the buyer, regardless of this setting. This is because the offer is based on the products that are in the basket, not on the products that are displayed on the All Prices page.Email notifications for now accounts.
How it works
- As a seller, navigate to the offer settings > Offer Setup page
- Select a terminal you would like to customize
- Expand a product group and select which products you would like to display on the All Prices page to your customer
- Save your changes
Email notifications enabled for new accounts
As a fuel buyer/seller, you will notice that all email notifications are turned on by default for all accounts, new and existing. This is so that you can be sure to always stay up-to-date with the latest information. If you would like to add or remove recipients from notification settings, you can do so by navigating to the Settings > Notifications Settings page.
The following notifications will be enabled:
- Order Edited
- Order Placed
- Order Confirmed
- Order Cancelled
Reduce price exposure for sellers
You will notice that we have made some changes to the way Real-Time NYMEX prices are updated.
Price Refresh Window
The price refresh window has been reduced from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. This means that you will have a shorter window of time to execute a trade at the price you see on screen before the price is automatically updated.
Basket Refresh Timer
The basket refresh timer has also been reduced from 45 seconds to 20 seconds. This means that the overall price exposure for trades has been reduced from 75 seconds to 30 seconds.
This change alongside updates to the purchasing experience listed below were made to eliminate seller price exposure and to improve the overall trading experience.
Lifting period end updated on order input
The lifting period end time has been updated to reflect the end of the day in the terminal’s local time zone. This time will be consistent with what is displayed in TABS.
Note: All times displayed in the order output are in UTC.
